December 2010 Pakistan's textile and garment exports up 43%

 HC clothing online the first half of Pakistan's 2010 accounting year (last year's July-December) of the textile and clothing exports surged 26% to 62.8 billion U.S. dollars. According to Pakistan's Federal Bureau of Statistics (FederalBureauofStatistics) information, the main export growth for clothing (readymadegarment) shipments increased.

Pakistan, the first half of 2010 accounting year of woven garment exports increased by 35%, and other products, export growth rates were: 31% cotton, 26% cotton yarn, knitted garments 24% and supplies 16% of the mattress; except footwear exports decreased by 6% from last year's 4,900 million or 4,600 million U.S. dollars.

Pakistan Textile Mills Association (AllPakistanTextileMillsAssociation, APTMA) Chairman GoharEjaz said that as Pakistan to improve the energy supply system and the development of high value textile and apparel products exported to international markets, Accounting estimates until the year 2010 only (that is, until June 30 this year), Pakistan's textile and clothing exports will be more than 13 billion U.S. dollars mark.
